Nearly 6 percent of seniors in the United States (excluding nursing home residents) are homebound. Most often, that’s because illness or physical impairments keep them from leaving their homes. But a 20-year-old medical student in Scotland has a fresh approach — and is making a difference for homebound seniors in his community.
