The Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is the program office of the Allegheny County Department of Human Services that provides services for adults, 60 years of age and older. AAA provides a wide range of services designed to help older adults live safe, healthy and independent lives, including assisting them to remain living in their own homes as long as possible. AAA provides services through programs based at its Downtown Pittsburgh office, two regional staff offices and a network of more than 100 service organizations and local municipal governments throughout the county. AAA services range from those for active, independent older adults to those for persons who are more frail and vulnerable.
